‘Blocked Me’ is the debut single from YCONN, Tileyard Education alumni and British electronic music producer who has already worked behind the scenes on tracks with SONDR, PBH & Jack, Dualities, Call Me Loop and many more. YCONN currently boasts over 3 million streams collectively on his past work.
Written over the course of 2 years and recorded at Tileyard London, it’s clear on the first listen that the single is a carefully crafted anthem. The song’s narrative discusses the pitfalls of love and social media, after Henry Dell’s personal experience of being blocked by an ex. YCONN and Henry flipped the situation on its head by creating a social media self-love anthem that everyone could relate to.
The single is matched with a music video of kaleidoscopic visuals, starring British actor and comedian Matt Lucas. After hearing a demo of their song, Matt loved it so much that he suggested and created a concept for the music video which you can watch here.
