Tileyard Education Releases Four New Albums with BMG Production Library

go back

76 songwriters from Tileyard Education have secured single song agreements through the release of four new EPs with BMG Production Library — the latest phase in an ongoing partnership designed to give emerging writers a global platform.

London, UK — 01.09.2025 – Tileyard Education, the education arm of Europe’s largest professional music community, has announced the release of four new EPs in collaboration with BMG Production Library. The project marks the third phase of an ongoing partnership between Tileyard Education and BMG, following two successful sync albums launched in 2022 and 2023, establishing Tileyard Education as the leader in providing commercial opportunities for songwriters.

Tileyard Education sits within Tileyard London, Europe’s largest professional music community, home to over 150 music businesses and 250 professional studios, including artists, managers, publishers, and creative companies at the forefront of the industry. Its postgraduate and short-course programmes in partnership with Nottingham Trent University, are uniquely designed to place students at the heart of this ecosystem, ensuring that training leads directly to professional opportunities.

By embedding students into a professional environment and connecting them with established players like BMG, Tileyard Education continues to blur the line between education and industry – ensuring that learning translates into tangible results.

In total, the new deal covers 19 new tracks written by 76 writers, combined of Tileyard Education students, alumni as well as external writers from Tileyard Education’s songwriting camps. These works are now eligible for high-profile sync opportunities across television, film, advertising and beyond — including placements on flagship UK shows such as Love Island, Emmerdale and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

A pathway to professional songwriting

For emerging songwriters, a single song agreement represents more than just a contractual formality.

Under a single song agreement, a writer grants a publisher the rights to administer and exploit a specific song, in return for a share of royalties generated through broadcast, streaming, sync placements and performance income.

Unlike exclusive long-term publishing deals, single song agreements are often the very first professional publishing deals that writers secure. They serve as a calling card in the industry, signalling that a songwriter has reached a professional level of craft.

Jamie Searls, Managing Director of Tileyard Education, explained the significance:

“As part of my vision for Tileyard Education, I’ve always wanted to help our writers commercialise their craft, because I know how important those first deals are for an emerging songwriter. They’re more than just a financial reward; they’re a milestone. It’s the moment you can say: I’m officially a professional songwriter. In a career full of ups and downs, it’s a flag in the sand that you’re on the right path, and a signal to others that you’re worth paying attention to. That’s why I’m so proud of this latest project with BMG — 19 tracks, 76 writers across four EPs, and our third project in an ongoing series. It’s proof of what’s possible when opportunity meets talent.”

From the Writing Room to the Screen

The songs were written during Tileyard Education’s acclaimed external songwriting camps, which take place both in London and internationally. The most recent camp was held in Marrakesh, Morocco, offering students a unique setting to collaborate, respond to commercial briefs and produce high-quality, sync-ready songs under professional conditions.

These camps simulate the realities of professional songwriting: from working to tight deadlines to collaborating across genres and disciplines, while also providing a direct pipeline to publishers, labels and supervisors.

Alex McLean, a recent Tileyard Education x NTU student and contributor to the new BMG albums, said:

“I’m lucky enough to have had two songs be a part of the Tileyard Education and BMG deal, which happen to be my first two songs I’ve ever written in a camp. It is an extremely valuable asset to have as it proves my ability to write for brief, opening doors into rooms where I can further pursue my songwriting career.”
