TILEYARD STUDIOS LONDON
Tileyard is the largest professional music community in Europe housing 80+ recording studios, 250 music businesses and home to The Prodigy, Lily Allen, Sigala, Platoon, Beats One, Spitfire Audio, Notting Hill Music, Focusrite, Key Production, Aston Microphones and many more. Study at the heart of the industry.
It's all about community
The Tileyard campus sits off York Way at the northern end of the new Kings Cross creative quarter passed the head offices for Universal Music Group, PRS, Google, The Guardian and Central Saint Martins. Spread out across 180,000 square feet, Tileyard Studios still feels like a tucked-away community of creatives, isolated from the noise and bustle of the city outside. Stand a while though under the canopy of the Vinyl Bar and Restaurant, or sip a beer in Two Tribes Brewery, and the community comes alive as artists, producers, managers and new tech entrepreneurs dart between studios and offices or gather for a meeting. This is what a true collective looks like: hundreds of complementary and like-minded producers, songwriters, artists, labels, managers and creative entrepreneurs creating content, sharing ideas, collaborating on projects, pitching for new business and ultimately reducing their overheads through collective, shared resources. The power of many. Tileyard Education provides aspiring creatives and entrepreneurs with a unique opportunity to study and collaborate with this vibrant and diverse professional community. We look forward to seeing you here...
“I can honestly say that, having been involved in the music industry for over 40 years, you are simply not going to find a concentration of professional experience like this in a traditional academic environment, in fact anywhere else that I’m aware of. Tileyard Education courses represent an outstanding opportunity to forge a significant career in the ever-changing music industry and I strongly recommend you take a look.”

Students are offered a range of free mental health and wellness masterclasses covering topics such as imposter syndrome, anxiety and navigating and coping with change. Students can also book 121 sessions if they feel they need a safe place to talk about any academic or personal struggles that may be impacting their ability to study. The Pastoral and Academic team work closely together to support each student through their study journey to ensure they achieve the success they desire.
Tileyard North, a 135,000 square ft site compromised of 5 abandoned Victorian Mill buildings, is being prepped for regeneration to put Wakefield on the map as the ‘new creative destination in the North of England.’ The regeneration plan will convert the space into a mixed-use, inclusive, creative and cultural cluster, with a focus on commercial, community and education. Tileyard North is situated directly opposite The Hepworth Gallery, titled “Museum of the Year 2018” and “The most significant and exciting place for sculpture in Europe”. The site will be filled with music studios, production and office spaces, contemporary street food, bars, restaurants and event live spaces. As it stands, Tileyard Education will be one of the first clients to move in 2021. Students who prefer to continue their studies in the North of England will now have the option to do so, whilst still being immersed in the largest creative community in Europe.
