We are extremely proud to announce that PINK MYLK (Andre Steed and Emily Buchan) have had their track ‘Through My Body’ played during the opening scene on last night’s (28/06/2022) Love Island.
As shots of Mallorca flash across the screen with the sun peaking over the horizon, the sound of the marimba soundtracks the scene. Within seconds the unmistakable voice of Emily Buchan floods the speakers and PINK MYLK’s ‘Through My Body’ is in full swing. To get a cut on Love Island is fantastic, to be the track that opens the episode is even better and we couldn’t be prouder.
Commercial Songwriting & Production alumnus, Emily Buchan, and Commercial Music Producer (Online Blended) alumnus, Andre Steed, met whilst they both studied at Tileyard Education. Whilst Andre was an online student he was often present at many of our events and constantly networked with the on-site student base, jumping into sessions and constantly collaborating with other students. After working with Emily, PINK MYLK was born and from what they tell us, this is only just the beginning.
‘Through My Body’ was originally featured on the Tileyard Education X BMG production album ‘Tileyard Education Presents Volume 1’. The album was A&Red by our internal A&R team in collaboration with BMG and consists of tracks written by 30 students/alumni. Each track is available for music supervisors for brands such as ITV to pick songs to sync to their shows, such as Love Island.
