Ruby Love’s new single “Love is a Killer” aims to raise awareness for domestic abuse and encourages donations to charities across the UK in order to help and support survivors.
“Love is a Killer” is out today on all streaming platforms. The music video will be available to viewers on the 25th of November, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Ruby, who recently graduated from the MA Commercial Songwriting & Production course, is a singer, songwriter and storyteller. Her music is honest, raw and full of emotion as she shares her true stories through her powerful voice. Her goal with this new release is to support other victims and break the silence.
Ruby Love recalls:
“I remember writing the song, my ex-partner had been charged and bailed for the crime he committed against me and I was scared. I was getting these notes left on my car and I felt like I was being followed. The song is a true story, 1 in 3 women who experience some sort of domestic abuse in their lifetime can relate to.”
