Open Mic UK’s Music Contest

go back

The renowned music competition Open Mic UK is returning to The O2 for their Grand Final this Saturday!

Open Mic UK attracts thousands of unsigned singers, singer-songwriters, rappers and vocalists across the country each year. Musicians and singers who are successful at the auditions will then be asked back to compete in the live showcases which are held within some of the most prestigious music venues across the country.

The live showcases give musicians and singers the chance to perform in front of music and entertainment industry judges, including A&R from the three major record labels., with judges getting more prestigious as the music contest progresses.

Previous winners and finalists include:

Birdy (signed to Warner Music)

Luke Friend (Signed to BMG)

Lola Young (signed to Universal)

Courtney Hadwin (signed with Syco Entertainment and Arista Records)

And many more!

This year, Tileyard Education will be donating a place on our 4-day songwriting camp for one winner, as well as sending along our A&R and admissions Manager Jamie Searls to help judge the talent. Jamie will be sitting on panels alongside some of the biggest names in the industry including Capital Xtra DJ Ras Kwame, Bafta Award-winning presenter Carrie Grant and Leon Haynes from Polydor Records.

Music contest Open Mic UK is open to singers and singer-songwriters of all genres, and you can enter to take part in the 2020 auditions now!
