We’re back for Season Two of At The Yard Podcast!

After it’s debut season, and an inpouring of positive messages from listeners, Matt and Lucy are back for Round Two of At The Yard! In Season One the duo interviewed some very exciting guests including La Roux, Kelli-Leigh, Nick Keynes, Ana Matronic, Martyn Ware and many more.

At The Yard is a fortnightly podcast that aims to bring burning questions of how to get into the music industry into the foreground, debunking common myths, whilst interviewing some very special guests from all walks of life and music. From songwriters and producers, to CEO’s of major companies and event managers, the podcast covers all grounds of the industry. Season two has a brand new lineup of music industry guests to get you motivated, educated and excited by the ever-changing music-business landscape.

At The Yard is recorded out of TYe Studios, in Tileyard Education, and is in partnership with Music Jobs UK, and couldn’t be possible without the support of the passionate team that piece it together, including Producer Callum who dedicates his time for the love of education!

For the first episode of season two, Matt and Lucy interview Chris Rogers. Chris is the Director and Founder of Pivotal Music Conference. Pivotal is an annual flagship Music Conference and Showcase Event taking place in Birmingham every September. The first one was held in 2018 with over 250 attendees and major sponsors including AIM, BPI, ROTOR Videos and CDBaby. This year Pivotal is back on Friday 27 September for more talks, panels and performances than ever before, with growing support from sponsors such as AIM and AWAL.

Chris is also the founder of Fat Penguin Management where he manages artists Joe Dolman, Natalie Holmes, John Nicholas, Producer – Matthew Cotterill, Producer – Elliot Vaughan as well as providing consultancy to a number of other music industry individuals. 

Chris has an unconventional background, following a career path in social work. Some years ago, he diverted back to music, which he said had always been his passion.
