MA Commercial Music Producer student, Prins Fimmers is this year’s Arturia bursary award winner.
Prins Fimmers wasn’t just born with exceptional talent, he has spent his entire life honing it. Singing in choirs from an early age, Prins went on to study at the Royal Conservative in Antwerp. He learnt his way not only around a stage, but around a studio. After graduating, Prins realised his singer-songwriter talents and began his journey in utilising his classically trained knowledge to write contemporary and exciting music. He continued this journey by enrolling at ICMP in London where he graduated with a First in Songwriting.
As we can all see, Prins joined us here at Tileyard already possessing the work ethic and ambition necessary to push forward in the industry. Attributes he has continued to show throughout his time here, producing a number of tracks with intricate attention to detail. You can really tell that Prins has a real understanding of his craft. Capturing the attention of Arturia he has been named this year’s Arturia bursary winner.
A new age focus built on a classical understanding of music is central to Arturia’s mission plan. Founded in Grenoble, France in 1999, Arturia have positioned themselves as one of the most innovative electronic instrument manufacturers in the world. We already have a long standing relationship with them as they have continuously supported us by donating multiple synths and controllers populating our many studios and writing rooms. Their vision of always looking forward is not unique to the instruments and equipment they manufacture, but also their continued commitment to support up and coming artists. Arturia have awarded Prins with £3,000 worth of Arturia gear, an artist feature and mentorship.
