Sally Freeman

Sally is a veteran of the British Music Industry and MD of Love Live Music UK. 

She works with new artists helping them to create social media strategies to effectively communicate and connect their music with their audiences. Sally comes from a musical family, her Grandfather was one of the first ever DJ’s broadcasting on the first day of BBC Radio 1 and has worked in recording studios since a teenager with iconic rock bands such as Motorhead. 

She has worked at Glastonbury as the Digital Manager for Silver Hayes since 2013 producing content for multiple Social Media channels for over 200 Artists per year. Managing a team of content creators, Sally works to create the best strategies for Artists to connect their music to global audiences. Using a variety of music tech platforms, Sally is always looking for innovative ways to connect music to audiences, 

Career highlights include managing social media and global digital communications for the first Grime Day at Glastonbury for Stormzy and working with emerging artists on the BBC Introducing Stage in Silver Hayes.  Artists that Sally has worked with include Craig David, George Ezra, Lianne La Havas, Dua Lipa, Disclosure, Inner City and Lewis Capaldi.  Sally has worked at Boomtown, Secret Garden Party and put on Live festivals for Oxjam and the West London music festival.

Sally has spoken at Amsterdam Dance Event, Midem, Social Media Week and BBC Introducing Live.  Sally is part of SheSaid.So and is on the shesaid.so Power List for 2019. She is also a Founder of DevelopHer – a 15K non-profit supporting women in Tech in their careers and confidence.  Sally is an Ambassador for the mental health charity Getahead and a global mentor for DevelopHer and the She.Grows SheSaid.So programme. Sally is very much looking forward to joining Tileyard Education as a Course Tutor and bringing her experience to teach, empower and guide students in their careers in the music industry.
