Helen Steer is a maker, educator and writer who specialises in creative uses of new technologies. She lectures on electronics, physical computing and playful practice at Ravensbourne University in London, and has delivered high profile technology projects for clients such as Intel Education and National Geographic.
Helen has completed prestigious maker education residency programmes in London and Shenzhen, and has designed creative technology workshops, robotic games and sound installations for the Science Museum and the V&A. Her music technology collaborations include projects with Imogen Heap, Music Tech Fest and Hackoustic.
Helen’s first book, The Crafty Kids Guide to DIY Electronics, will be published in Autumn 2018 by the US educational publishers McGraw Hill.
