On May 23, we are calling out to all future artist managers, label owners, entrepreneurs and musical innovators. The Tileyard Education’s Industry Day is an event for those who want to kick-start their career in the music business.
Designed for those who would like to develop a 360-degree view of the music industry, the afternoon-long event will feature a series of panel talks and discussions featuring leaders in management, PR experts, music marketeers, radio pluggers and more.
The day will compromise of a series of 4 panel discussions.
1:15-2:00pm – THE AGE OF PLAYLISTS AND STREAMING
A talk with Sonnet Music, Good Soldier Songs and more to discuss the future of playlisting and how it is affecting the changing face of the music industry.
2:15 – 3:00pm – WHAT MAKES A GOOD ARTIST MANAGER
A talk with Tileyard Music, Big Indie and Karma Artists on what makes a good artist manager. From touring to mental health, we’ll get down to the nuts and bolts of looking after your artists.
3:15 – 4:00pm – MARKETING THE BUSINESS
We’ll get stuck into what it takes to market your artist/business. We’ll be talking to Tileyard-based PR company Longevity PR, Autonomy Music Group, Music Jobs and Hartmedia – the UK’s leading radio pluggers.
4.15 – 5.00pm – WHAT IS A MUSIC ENTREPRENEUR?
How important is it to be a master of multiple disciplines in the music industry landscape? For our final talk of the day, we speak to a series of music and entertainment entrepreneurs who are excelling in their fields, as we discuss the importance of understanding and working across multiple sectors.
5.00 – 6.00pm – NETWORKING
