PRODUCING A VOICE OVER SHOWREEL

FOR ASPIRING VOICE OVER PROFESSIONALS
ANALYSE REAL WORLD BRIEFS
DEVELOP PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUES
RECORD VOICE SAMPLES

This practical weekend course, delivered by voice over agent Sarah Marecek, focuses on what makes great voice over recordings and highlights the difference between commercial, narrative and documentary style voices.

The course has a particular focus on unconventional voice over professionals who may have a background in acting, singing, rap or spoken word as there is a growing demand for less conventional voices in all forms of entertainment and marketing voice overs.

What are clients really looking for? How do voice over agencies excavate talent, mould it and repeatedly create high-quality voice over recordings?

No prior knowledge of voice over work or recordings is necessary and each participant on the course will end up with a selection of their own voice samples as a foundation to building a showreel.

About Sarah

Sarah Marecek worked as an actress herself and later specialised in voice over casting and agency work. She worked at “Talksmall”, the voice over department at NHB in Germany, and discovered multiple voiceover artists. Sarah worked closely with agencies and production companies to realise complex briefings and made it her mission to continuously discover high-quality, fresh and unheard voices.  She cast voices for KIA, Mercedes, VW, ADIDAS, Audi, Ferrero, L’Oreal and many more. Since 2016 Sarah has also been regularly recruiting and recording voice over talent at Tileyard.
