Spring Songwriting Camp
The Tileyard Education Spring Songwriting Camp is a 5-day practical songwriting camp for aspiring and established songwriters, artist and producers held at Tileyard Studios London.
On the camp you will learn from and collaborate with your peers and professional songwriters, producers and industry entrepreneurs from the Tileyard Studios community.
Each day of the camp you will be placed in a different group and will be tasked to respond to a live commercial brief – so you should complete the week with at least 5 new co-writes! Our roaming professional writers will also circulate through the groups to offer advice, top tips and guidance.
The camp includes a daily 90 minute workshop covering techniques for songwriting, vocal development, audio production, responding to briefs and creative career development. Tutor collaborators include Ivor Novello Award winner and PRS Writer Director Michelle Escoffery (Tina Turner, All Saints, Beverley Knight, Artful Dodger), session vocalist and professional vocal coach David Laudat (The X Factor, MTV, LIPA), producer Jon Kelly (Kate Bush, Prefab Sprout, Richard Ashcroft), Ciaran Robinson (Fireapple Red, Oliver Torr, March of the Raptors) and Steve Cole (Tileyard Education, Expansion Records, Soul Affair).
The week wraps up with a group playback session and a social / open mic night in the Two Tribes Brewery next door. All tracks written will be sent to the brief owner and the wider network of Tileyard A&R executives.
A light catered lunch and tea/coffee is included daily.
